YOUR wedding day really will be the most special day of your life – and today could be your first step on the path towards tying the knot at one of Somerset’s premier venues.

The Webbington Hotel and Spa in Loxton is undergoing a major new refurbishment this summer.

The makeover will include the main terrace area, its Tiark restaurant and all its function suites.

Each will soon boast new floors, new furniture and a general facelift to give it a smart new modern look and cement the venue’s status as one of Somerset’s favourite wedding and conference venues.

To celebrate this rebirth, the Webbington’s management team has teamed up with the Mercury to extend a special invitation to readers – the chance to win a free wedding package worth thousands of pounds.

Winners will be able to choose from two extensive packages, covering day and evening celebrations for up to 50 guests.

This will include room hire for a civil ceremony, a complimentary bridal suite, and a dedicated master of ceremonies, as well as a three-course lunch and an evening finger buffet.

Entering this competition is simple.

All you need to do is fill out the form on page 4 of this week’s Mercury, and collect three numbered tokens printed throughout June (on June 11, 18 and 25).

Then, send the completed form with the tokens attached to Webbington Wedding Competition, Weston, Worle & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1LW by July 16.

The winners will be drawn at random from all eligible entries during the Webbington’s wedding fair on July 19.

The show will feature exhibits from a huge variety of local wedding specialists, plus a catwalk fashion show of bridal and grooms’ wear, and free goodie bags on offer for the first 100 would-be brides.

You can find out more about the wedding fair or the Webbington by logging on to, while appointments to view the venue can also be made by calling 01934 750100 or emailing
