A proper Cabaret - win tickets

12 November 2009

TELEVISION celebrity Wayne Sleep is set to star in a dazzling production this month.

The twinkle-toed dancer will take to the stage in Cabaret at the Bristol Hippodrome, from November 23-28.

Siobhan Dillon - the popular finalist from How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? - will star as Sally Bowles alongside Wayne's Emcee character in the glittering show.

Since its Broadway premiere in 1966 and the famous movie version with Liza Minnelli, Michael York and Joel Grey, Cabaret has won a staggering number of stage and screen awards, including eight Oscars, seven BAFTAs and 13 Tonys.

At the heart of the story is the legendary Sally Bowles, who performs nightly at the Kit Kat Club.

Tickets, priced £10-32.50, are available from the box office on 08443 727272. Nobody under the age of 13 will be allowed into the show.

The Weston and Somerset Mercury has teamed up with the Bristol Hippodrome to offer four lucky readers the chance to win tickets to see the show on November 24 at 7.30pm.

To enter the competition, simply answer the following question: In which television programme did Siobhan reach the finals?

Send your answer on a postcard, along with your name, address and telephone number to: Cabaret Competition, Weston & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1LW, by 12noon on November 19.

Usual Archant rules apply and the editor's decision is final.
