One-to-one time helps children
CHILDREN with reading difficulties are vastly improving after receiving special one-on-one tuition.
Reading recovery teacher at Milton Park School, Katharine Jordan, said the impact has been incredible.
She said: "Children who were not readers at the beginning of the 20 week programme have gone on to become competent readers after 20 weeks of one-to-one tuition 30 minutes a day.
"It is really making a difference to the lives of the children who are doing it."
Weston MP John Penrose visited the reading recovery class to check out the ongoing work of the school.
