T-shirt help
29th June 2007
A FOOTIE fan from Weston stood in front of a packed stadium and showed his support for a charity campaign.
Ashley Fowke travelled up to Wembley to watch Bristol Rovers win promotion after beating Shrewsbury Town 3-1 in the league two play-off final.
At the same time the 31-year-old donned a T-shirt to help support Sunshine Radio’s Taking Over The World Campaign.
Station volunteers, based at Weston General Hospital are busy raising much-needed cash and are asking people to help spread the word.
The Taking Over The World campaign, involves anyone planning on visiting anywhere exciting or unusual appearing around the globe in an official T-shirt.
Ashley proudly wore his all day but had a few curious onlookers staring at him on the tube.
Following Rover’s victory he now considers it his lucky T-shirt and will be wearing it to future fixtures.
