Nigel supports radio campaign

20th December 2007
A FAMOUS face from the world of motor racing has been gearing up to help a charity campaign.
Former Priory Community School pupil Howard Johns, from Worlebury, saw the photo of the ‘Sunshine Stig’ taken at Nigel Mansell’s karting track at Dunkeswell and thought he could go one better by having his photo taken with Nigel Mansell himself.
Sunshine Radio launched its fund-raising scheme called Taking Over The World earlier this year and is asking members of the public to buy one of its T-shirts and then have their picture taken wearing it somewhere interesting across the globe.
Howard said: “Nigel was more than pleased to be involved and I was delighted to get the photo for Sunshine Radio’s brilliant campaign.”
If anyone is interested in helping with the campaign they should send any photographs to: Sunshine Radio campaign, Weston & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston, BS23 1LW or e-mail them to newsdesk@thewestonmercury.co.uk
Log onto the Sunshine Radio website at www.sunshinehospitalradio.co.uk for more details.
T-shirts are available from Clobber at 17 Meadow Street, Weston, or can be ordered online through the Sunshine Hospital Radio website.
You can also phone T-Shirt Printing and More directly on 0117 902 9845.
