Mike backs campaign

6th December 2007
A PRESENTER took a break from his regular evening show on Sunshine Radio to help the charity with its latest campaign.
The fund-raising scheme, Taking Over The World, was launched earlier this year and is asking members of the public to buy a special T-shirt and then have their picture taken wearing it somewhere interesting across the globe.
‘Motorbike Mike’ rode his bike down to the South of France and had his photo taken in front of the Milau Viaduct, the tallest vehicular bridge in the world.
The viaduct, which cost £270million to build, is actually taller than the Eiffel Tower.
It was designed by world-renowned architects Foster and Partners, which is involved in the redevelopment of Weston’s Royal Pier Hotel.
If anyone is interested in helping with the campaign they should send any photographs to: Sunshine Radio campaign, Weston & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston, BS23 1LW or e-mail them to newsdesk@thewestonmercury.co.uk
Log onto the Sunshine Radio website at www.sunshinehospitalradio.co.uk for more details. T-shirts are available from Clobber at 17 Meadow Street, Weston, or can be ordered online through the Sunshine Hospital Radio website.
You can also phone Charity T-shirts directly on 0117 965 6320.
