Pizza, pasta and a picture
26th July 2007
PIZZA, pasta and a picture for Sunshine Radio’s campaign were the flavour of the day for a business development manager from Wick St Lawrence.
Stevie Morley was on a business trip to Morano in Italy when he had this picture taken.
The charity launched its fund-raising scheme, Taking Over The World, earlier this year and is asking members of the public to buy one of its t-shirts and then have their picture taken wearing it somewhere interesting across the globe.
Morano is located in the South Tirol region of Italy. It is surrounded by mountains and is only a short trip from popular ski resorts in Austria.
Stevie got involved with Taking Over The World after his father-in-law was recently admitted to Weston General. He says his stay was made more pleasant by the volunteers at Sunshine Radio who were happy to play his requests for Rod Stewart.
If anyone is interested in helping with the campaign they should send any photographs to: Sunshine Radio campaign, Weston & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston, BS23 1LW or e-mail them to newsdesk@thewestonmercury.co.uk
Log onto the Sunshine Radio website at www.sunshinehospitalradio.co.uk for more details. T-shirts are available from Clobber at 17, Meadow Street, Weston, or can be ordered online through the Sunshine Hospital Radio website.
You can also phone Charity T-shirts directly on 0117 9029845. |
