Mohammed Bazlur Rahman
1st May 2008
A WELL-KNOWN doctor has died from self-inflicted wounds.
Mohammed Bazlur Rahman was found about two weeks ago in his Bleadon home.
The doctor, who the Weston & Somerset Mercury understands retired from The Village Surgery in Worle a couple of years ago, leaves a wife and children.
An inquest has been opened into Doctor Rahman's death.
On behalf of all my family I would like to say how saddened we were to hear the news of the passing of Dr Rahman.
We have all benefited from his kindness and skill. He was the best doctor we have ever had, always there to give as much time as we needed.
Our love to all the family he leaves behind.

Margaret and George Barwick
I am privileged to say that Dr Rahman was my doctor and a friend.
It is only because of his expertise and dedication that I am here today. I had a heart attack in his surgery some years ago and he fought together with the ambulance staff to save my life, and despite a number of relapses he managed to do so.
I was grateful to become one of his ‘special projects’ where his care exceeded that expected of a doctor, always at hand with advice and help, truly a dedicated, caring and thoughtful man.
A loss to this country, but his legacy for work in caring will always be carried forward by his wife at the village surgery.
Thank you for the gift of life you gave me.
