Youth club of the month...

OUR featured youth club this month is Banwell. Situated just off West Street, Banwell Youth Club provides a valuable facility for a wide range of young people.
Although the building is geared towards sports, the club does provide art facilities and sells food and drink.
The young people at Banwell are relaxed and happy to welcome newcomers and youth staff are friendly and easily approachable for any concerns.
Frequenters of Banwell have had the opportunity to look at sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in an ‘AIDS day’ the youth club participated in, and the centre provides a No Worries service for those who request it.
A wide age range of people attend Banwell from all parts of the community. Although Banwell’s current building is not the most pleasing to the eye, a new structure will be built soon which will provide much enhanced services to club regulars. Banwell seems to be a club on the up, with a bright future ahead.
