GIVING YOUNG PEOPLE A VOICE!

COMPETITION
Young Journalist 2008

17th April 2008
Have you ever fancied yourself as a journalist? Are you the next Trevor McDonald or Natasha Kaplinsky? Then Youth Matters is running the perfect competition for you!
We want to hear about issues affecting you, be it something at school, in your local community or even a national issue. If you want to have your opinions heard then all you need to do is send in a short article to Youth Matters on the address below, and you could soon be a published journalist.
Every month we will pick our favourite entry, and that article will be put into Youth Matters and onto our website for the whole world to see. At the end of the year, all the successful entrants will be in the running for the title of ‘Youth Matters Young Journalist of the Year’.
So, if you want a chance to write for a newspaper and gain some valuable experience then get writing and send your entries in to: youth.matters@thewestonmercury.co.uk
This is an ongoing competition, so there is no closing date - so if an issue comes up later in the year then you can still send in your articles. The more articles the better, so get creative!
GOOD LUCK
