Batter luck next time

6th February 2008
PEOPLE with a passion for pancakes were celebrating this week after battering their rivals.
Shrove Tuesday saw hundreds of hungry residents grab their frying pans to take part in pancake races across North Somerset.
Meanwhile, crowds of hungry pancake fans headed to Big Lamp Corner in Weston to try their hand at making their own.
In Winscombe, youngsters gathered on the community centre green to try their hand at flipping pancakes while residents in Churchill followed the smell of cooking to the Reading Rooms.
In Blagdon, Holly and Hannah Cadman (pictured top right) were left with egg on their faces when their flipping skills flopped and their pancakes ended up on their heads.
