Budding pop star sings to school
14th February 2008

A SCHOOLBOY’S pop song about the environmental mess the world is in is now available to download from various websites.
Charlie Lintern, of Kewside, Kewstoke, has created a media stir since recording a dance track called This Planet. He made the song after watching a programme on television about the melting polar ice caps.
Charlie, who attends St Mark’s Primary School in Worle, had a large input into the way the song sounds and the lyrics, which asks the next generation to put the planet right.
The 10-year-old has also recorded three other songs including Video Hero, as one of Charlie’s favourite pastimes is playing video games. This is a quirky track featuring backing voices of cybermen. The track So Many People is about the starving children in the world, which Charlie also wanted to sing about after seeing coverage on the television. Finally, the song If Only You Said talks about kids who always have to get one better on each other.
All four tracks will be available to download from websites such as iTunes and from record company www.silverword.co.uk
All four songs can also be heard on Charlie’s myspace site via www.myspace.com/charlielintern
