A FAIR held at Backwell School included live bands, sideshows, stalls and even a world record attempt to keep visitors entertained.

The event featured efforts to set a new record for the most people taking part in a three-legged race, which was officially adjudicated.

However, despite 193 people turning up to help with the 200m race, they were unable to beat the current record of 198 pairs.

Pupils attending the fair had the chance to sponge a teacher and there was also a raffle to win some impressive prizes.
