The area's schools fall under the control of two local authorities - North Somerset Council and Somerset County Council, which governs schools in the Sedgemoor area.
There are a wealth of first, primary, junior and secondary schools, details of which can be obtained from the local authorities, which will also be able to provide information on the many preschool and nursery groups in the two districts.
