Cash for voting

08 February 2010

CASH has been given to councils throughout England in a bid to encourage more people to vote.

The funds, dished out by the Government, have been used to purchase awareness leaflets that are currently being distributed to households.

Sedgemoor District Council say the simple message behind the leaflet is about making people aware that if they are not on the register of electors they will not be able to vote.

People can check to see if they are registered by calling Sedgemoor District Council on 01278 435344.
