A WESTON author, who has joined the American president in a hall of fame, will be signing copies of her latest book today (Thurs).
Gina Collia-Suzuki has celebrated entering her fourth decade by being awarded membership of the prestigious literary community, Red Room, becoming a 'founding author'.
The accolade has previously been bestowed upon Barack Obama, Salman Rushdie, Candace Bushnell and Amy Tan.
Gina, who is also an artist specialising in Japanese prints, said: "I feel highly honoured to be included in the hall of fame alongside such outstanding individuals from all over the world.
"I feel very privileged to be part of such a vibrant and inspirational community."
She will be at Waterstone's, in the Sovereign Shopping Centre, from 5.30-9pm as part of the town's Christmas lights switch-on and late night shopping launch.
Moving next door to nuisance neighbours inspired her third novel, The Wonderful Demise of Benjamin Arnold Guppy, a satirical tale of blackmail, turnip tossing and murder, based on real life events in Weston.
