Beatles autographs auctioned

AN AUTOGRAPHED picture signed by The Beatles when they visited Weston has been sold for more than £2,500.

The item, which was valued at about £400 - £600, was sold for the staggering amount of money at Clevedon Salerooms.

The lot was sold during the Quaterly Specialist Sale of Antiques, Fine Art and Collectors Items, which was held on Friday.

Other big buys included an incomplete 19th century ivory chess set which sold to a Dutch bidder for £4,800.
