A WARDROBE malfunction meant children and staff in two North Somerset schools were wearing the 'wrong trousers' on Friday.

Luckily, pupils at Churchill Primary and Sandfor Primary timed the mishap to coincide with Wallace and Gromit's Wrong Trousers Day.

The national event is held in schools, businesses and hospitals to raise money for the Wallace and Gromit Children's Foundation.

The charity, which raises money for sick and injured children, urges people participating to donate £1 to wear funny pantaloons.

Churchill Primary School raised £80 for the worthy cause.
