Extortionate £1 an hour

I RECENTLY returned from a holiday in Kent, and I am attaching one of my holiday photos. The photo shows a notice in a seafront car park stating the parking charges: 80p for up to 24 hours.

I don't suppose there is much chance of parking charges in Weston being reduced to a reasonable 80p for 24 hours instead of the extortionate £1 per hour currently charged.

Every time I shovel pound coins into a car park ticket machine in Weston I think: "That's another contribution I've made to the council's Ivory Tower Pension Fund".
