Christmas favourite - win tickets

A MAGICAL musical Christmas is promised at the Playhouse next week.

The British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra with guest soloists, compered by Mark Langley will get theatre-goers in the mood for the festive season with a programme of Viennese music, interspersed with readings, witty stories and Christmas songs to sing along to.

The ensemble returns to the Weston venue with Marilyn Hill Smith singing soprano, Jeremy Peaker in baritone and Andrew Forbes Lane as tenor for the glamorous annual concert.

The Dragonfly, Emperor and Gold and Silver waltzes, Vienna Blood and The Blue Danube will be among Strauss pieces played in the evening of family entertainment.

The Viennese Strauss Christmas Gala is on December 5 at 7.30pm.
