I see the Seagulls have escaped relegation on a technicality once again - and while that is obviously good news, I wonder why a town the size of ours is unable to put together and sustain a decent football side?

There are not many other English towns the size of Weston lacking a side with league experience - is Weston really that much of a footballing backwater?

It certainly is not for a lack of enthusiasm for the sport in the town - so why has the club never really captured the hearts and passions of the people of Weston?

I used to know a l;ot of people that played for the weston youth side, they have/had an affiliation with Weston College.

I played for Bridgwater college Acadamy we got to the FINAL of the College F.A Cup and played at Goodison Park

I enquired whether I could play with some of my friends in the reserves with a hope to getting to the first team, I was more than good enough to play in the reserves, however as I played for Bridgwater College that would be a conflict of interest with thier affiliation with Weston College, W-s-M FC is a joke, they deserve what they get!
