Update on Cox's Mill haunting in Cheddar - June 2008

FLOATING orbs and an eerie voice were just two of the creepy things seen and heard at a ghost investigation night.
South West Paranormal Group members descended on Cheddar to find out if Cox's Mill was haunted.
The group was contacted by manager Marz Harvey after hotel guests and pub regulars told him about some of the extra visitors the building has acquired.
Marz said: "We saw floating orbs in two of the rooms and someone said they felt a hand tickling their nose.
"During the night someone else was pushed and I started to feel really ill. The group brought a medium with them and she said the spirits were telling her that someone was not welcome. As I was feeling poorly I knew it was probably me so I left.
"A few other members of staff were ill as well so it might have just been a bug going round, but I definitely didn't feel right."
The investigators visited the building, which stands in The Cliffs in Cheddar Gorge, back in April and have now released a report about their findings.
Member Nick Wright stayed in one of the bedrooms with other investigator Paul Mossy said: "We both dozed off but this was short lived as Paul woke me up and asked if I had heard a noise. I said it sounded like someone saying the word 'school' and he said 'so you heard it too then'?"
The group took along a medium called Sharon, who was told nothing about the place she is about to visit, only what time she would be picked up.
During the investigation Sharon was drawn to the fireplace in the function room and described seeing a face in the wood panelling surrounding it. She also said she could feel or see a woman stood holding something by the fire.
Marz added: "I was a sceptic before, but now I would say I am sat on the fence. It was definitely a night to remember."

Does that mean David and Christine Presley are no longer running Cox's Mill?

If so, any idea where they've gone?  David is a friend of many years, would hate to lose touch.

Hi Sean

I've asked around and the reporters have only ever dealt with Marz Harvey as the manager.

But the website does still say the Presleys own it http://www.coxsmill.co.uk/

Perhaps someone at the pub would be able to tell you more. The telephone number is 01934 742346

Hope that helps
