Anyone Else Had Trouble With The Travellers In Locking?
|

Anybody other than me had problems with the travellers located near the Helicopter Museum? I was walking down the cycle path and got cornered by about 6 of the children, one of them tried to block the path and when i pushed past him he ran after me and demanded my handbag... I got away and thought little of it but my boyfriend walked the same way last night and was confronted by an extremely drunk traveller aged about 30. I am considering making complaits about this . Any suggestions?

They are not travellers, that's just a polite name for Pikeys. They leave litter everywhere, don't pay any Community Charge, and very rarely tax or insure their vehicles. In other words they are wasters.

Clearly you've never had to clean up after them or move them on after they've destroyed someone else's piece of land. All the earlier poster said is true, unfortunately political correctness means we're not allowed to criticise them. Same sort of people who are ripping off the public at Lapland Dorset.

Travellers can be a nightmare. I know people who have had travellers pitch up on their land and cause havoc, and leave behind bits of cars, scrap and filth.
They go around looking for elderly homeowners, and tout for tarmacing drives, roof repairs, cleaning chutes etc., and attempt to fleece OAPs for usually substandard and often unnecessary works. I notice that most of the travellers live in very expensive caravans, pulled by very expensive 4x4s, usually with the road tax "in the post". Some time ago, I read in the national press that the Eire government were encouraging travellers to travel to the UK, because we are mugs, and allow travellers to do what they want without fear of the law.
