That's ashame, his shows were quite funny.  it always seems to be a towny comming down to the seaside for the day that decide's they hate it after seeing the first person in a pair of legging and a kiddie holding a candy floss - not realising that it's probably their  neighbour having a holiday - UK seaside resorts have a unique charm about them, you either see it - or you don't .

I think it's a bit much to compare a natural wonder with Weston, any town is going to have trouble living up to that.

People piddling in the streets doesn't just happen at seaside towns either - anyone who is that interested in beratting a town - has "issues" - we've all been there at some point, maybe he's upset because people don't laugh at his jokes anymore  ?

Dom Joly is a comedian, and I am sure that his comments are designed to be funny rather than taken literally.

I really think more people need to learn to take a joke without leaping on to their high horse...

I liked the one where he dressed up as a snail and crawled accross a zebra crossing really slowly - much to the anger/puzzled looks of busy commuters - balls of steel is the closest thing to that kind of humour today - it's my kind of humour but well, that aside

I bin 'anging about on-line with American's too long - they've had a bit of a patriotic/respect your home kind of effect on me - the idea is that you treat your town, like you treat your clothes (you live in clothes too - well most of us do!) - would you vomit/pee etc. on them ? - theory is you wouldn't...but would you let someone else do it ? ....um....no, not really, thanks all the same (in my case) but each to their own...
