How much does it cost to get membership of that private health club down locking road ?

Anyone know ? - I've read all the marketing material but there aren't any prices - which means it's either way too expensive or it's way too posh for the likes of common folk that want to get fit - what I'm really after is a swimming pool that i could use 2 or 3 times a week as a low impact kind of exercise - I'm not into dance classes and gym type stuff just yet - it just seems daft that it would probably be easier to get a bus to a swiming pool in Bristol than it would to get to Hutton leisure centre from town.

I'm an Esporta member and the best thing I suggest you can do is to ask them.  I swim as long and often as I like in gorgeously luxurious and clean surroundings, using an extremely well equipped changing and shower area.  I use the Hydra Pool, the Sauna and Gym upstairs where I have had consultations with very professional fitness instructors.  A Costa coffee afterwards is a lovely way to relax before going home.  It's better than anything else this town has to offer winter and summer, and the best decision I ever made.  You should ask them yourself because I do believe payment varies, and I think for my hard earned money, it's a bargain!

We went in for a look around  after receiving a maildrop.  Very nice facilites indeed, but very expensive - about 120 quid a month for the two of us.  What really put us off was the pressure we were put under to make a decision there and then.  We walked away and found a gym for about half the cost - not as good and no pool but it has all the equipment we need.

Something to think about, as it's in walking distance and swimming is about the only exercie I can trick myself into thinking isn't doing me any harm!

I probabley spend about 20 - 30 quid a week on junk food easy - that could go on a club membership of some sort instead.

I saw them advertising for sales reps. the general impression I got from the ad was they were after pushy/driven type people to "close sales" - maybe you got some of their latest recruits and they over sold you / put you off.

I'll probably pop along to my doctors first and get a check up, haven't done any regular excerise since I was 14, reminds me of going to the denist :O
