Who would vote again for Labour
Reply Quote

Dear Sirs,

It is time to ask the question,
Of all your friends and neighbour.
If there’s anybody in Weston,
Who would vote again for Labour.

Would anybody buy a house now,
And part with all that booty,
While the Chancellor has announced,
That he MAY suspend stamp duty.

He’s not very bright you see,
He’s got it from his boss.
Who announced he would be selling all our gold,
ensuring he sold it at a loss.

So when Blair announces that Browns mistake,
was to state he would be straight.
It is clear that if were to start that now,
it would be far too late.

Paul Arnold,
Purn Way,
Bleadon,

But what are the other choices?

There are so many similar voices

The Tories've not changed

Lib Dems are just strange

So I think I'll have to abstain

I had a mate called Steve
Well, let's say an aquaintance
He was the local UKIP man
Who stretched the locals' patience
You'd say the weather wasn't good
He'd say it's global warming
That's caused by something Europe did
Oh lord, he was so boring

You'd get a bill for Council Tax
And worry about paying
But trust me folks, if Steve was there
You'd be careful what yer saying
For Brussels is the problem
With just anything you choose
And if you tried to say "But, Steve?"
Inevitably you'd lose

UK Independence
Is a mighty fine idea
But the fact is that the moment
Isn't really truly here
When we'll throw away the lifebelt
Thrown from friends across the sea
I THINK that's how most people think
But it could be only me.

(rubbish, I know - but written spur of the moment... do such things as a "tune up" in the morning to get the brain working, lol!)
