I like Angus Meek's design because I think the colours will work well and will attract people in... sure, it's not the 1930s design but that was fairly brightly lit in its own way.  The Pier at night wasn't exactly "inconspicuous", was it! 24/10/2008, 1:06 PM CFrost Re: GRAND PIER VOTE i think you are right the bright colours would cheer people up on a horrid wet day and i think the person behind the design needs a medal well done, when i first saw the designs i was drawn to the angus meek design straight away and knew then that it would win , it has a feel good factor to it and a place where you can go to have fun and relax , i also hope that they include the walkway to the roof as the view will be absoloutley breath-taking
