"June 9 - The webcam is being moved
to a new position where it can stay undisturbed throughout most of the
building project. The actual camera has now been relocated and the
fibre cables are being relaid. The pier staff expect to have most of
the cable work complete on Friday."
In other words, it's been delayed - yes, again! What a surprise ............

Probably the same person in charge of the webcam as the proposed water park ;-)
Anyway "Friday" was 6 days ago... how long does it take to set up a webcam?
a) No-one bothers to keep us informed on what is happeneing (besides the very occasional update making the usual broken promises) b) The fact that, as with many things like this, it's taking so ridiculously long
Heck, it's a camera! - I could put one of those up in my sleep in a very short amount of time. It would hardly cost me anything either.
So what's the problem? It's not rocket science ..............
I don't think the pier folk give a damn about the webcam... Claire etc. can moan at them that it's down until the cows come home, if they decide they have higher priorities then everybody has to wait.
I rather hoped they'd move it somewhat further down the pier, or even onto something like the Winter Gardens - but clearly didn't happen, hence it's subject to being demolished at any given moment as they tear apart the fabric of the pier.
