The 1st Wick St Lawrence scouts spent four hours painting St Mark’s Church along with their leaders Andrew Barnes and Doug Fryer on Saturday.

Andrew said: “The minister himself has a son in the scouts, and asked if we would like to help paint the church.

“We already decided to help, but he said if we could do it we could use the church for a fundraising car wash the following weekend.

“We painted the main wall and round the front and got quite a bit done.
