A YOUNG Weston man has been handed a suspended jail term after breaching a court order.

Kyran Evans, 20, of Colombo Crescent, admitted at Taunton Magistrates' Court failing to comply with a community order by skipping probation appointments on three occasions in March.

He was sentenced for the original offence of assault by beating.

Evans was committed to prison for 10 weeks suspended for 12 months.

He must comply with a number of requirements within the supervision period of 12 months while a previous community order was revoked.

Evans was ordered to pay £30 towards prosecution costs.
