WESTON is set to host a "spectacular" range of events this Bank Holiday weekend.

A Visit Weston-super-Mare spokesperson has outlined what to expect: "We're not sure about you but we love a Bank Holiday weekend here at Visit Weston-super-Mare! And whilst we can't guarantee the weather (we don't think the month of May got the memo about it needing to warm up and for the sun to shine) we do know we've got a bumper weekend of things happening in the town.

"With the arrival of Knife Angel North Somerset on Wednesday it's a good opportunity to catch it in the Italian Gardens.

"Friday night sees the town come alive with live music at The Brit Bar and Blues Bar.

"Saturday is the perfect opportunity to go and see the Royal Photographic Society's Summer Exhibition at Weston Museum - doors open at 10am and why not grab a coffee from the cafe.

"If Ska and Reggae are your thing then @Riverside Holiday Village is the place to be on Saturday night.

"Sunday see's the new Monthly Makers Market at Tropicana Weston from 10am. A good chance to either grab breakfast or the legendary carvery The Bay Cafe.

"Finally - chilled Bank Holiday Monday music with @dennisdemille at Revo Kitchen from 1.30pm (booking advisable).

"We call that a pretty spectacular early Bank Hols weekend."
