JOBS and skills in the creative sector will get a boost of £75,000 from Somerset County Council.
Businesses and organisations are being invited to bid for grants between £5,000 and £15,000 to fund projects, before June 1.
Councillor David Hall, cabinet member for economic development, said: “We are keen to see proposals come forward that will boost the creative economy.
“Arts, culture, media, digital or ICT businesses and organisations looking to develop the sector as a whole, are invited to apply for a share of the £75,000 Creative Industries Fund.
“This fund will help creative businesses and organisations to take the lead in developing their sector and encourage much needed new jobs, skills and products.”
Successful applicants will be informed by July 2. Meetings are currently being planned around the county for businesses and organisations to find out more about the scheme.
