A WOMAN required treatment from the air ambulance after suffering a fall in Weston this morning (Friday).

The 45-year-old fell in Prince Consort Gardens, in Upper Kewstoke Road, at around 9.45am. A crew from the Great Western Air Ambulance attended, and found her bleeding heavily from her chest.

A spokesman told the Mercury: “The woman was conscious but did go into Southmead Hospital by road for treatment.”

Police were also called to the incident at around 10.20am.

A Police spokesman added: “After initial enquiries officers have identified her as a woman who lives nearby who left her home to seek help after injuring herself while in the kitchen and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
