SLEEPING ponies, beautiful butterflies and owls were all photographed by iwitness contributors this week – with metal donkeys also making an appearance.

The first appearance of The Torbay Express steam train in Weston also caught the eye of many keen snappers, with some impressive photographs of the train passing through Weston Station.

North Somerset Bird of Prey Centre held an open day and Phillip Jones photographed some of its beautiful birds, including Luna, the white faced owl.

The donkeys around the Bournville estate might be part of the furniture for many but Terry Kelly reminded us just how good they look in the summer sun.

He also took some photographs of the arrival of the16th beach hut on Weston’s seafront.
