Witnesses who saw a ‘disorder’ in Weston are being urged to come forward after the police launched an appeal for witness today (Tuesday).

Officers are looking for anyone who saw an incident outside the Devonshire Road Social Club, off Devonshire Road, when several people were assaulted and two men suffered serious head injuries.

The assault took place at 9.40pm on Boxing Day.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicious of grievous bodily harm with intent and assault and has been released under investigation.

Two other men have also been interviewed in connection with the incident.

A police spokesman said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw any part of this incident, or who has footage or images on their mobile phones.

“If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5217293683.”
