A Weston-super-Mare crew was called to put out a van fire yesterday (Saturday) evening.

The firefighters attended the incident at the junction of Devonshire Road and Windwhistle Road at around 5:45pm.

The crew used a high pressure hose reel and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, which was confined to the van’s engine compartment.

It is believed the fire started accidentally.
