An apple pie bake-off and other activities will be available during an apple day in Worle.

Community group Big Worle is organising the event, which is in its second year, to celebrate the start of autumn.

It will feature apple-pressing, crafts and games.

A Big Worle spokesman said: “Come along to what will be a great day, and help us make our apple day celebrations even bigger and better than last year.”

One of the highlights will be the baking competition, which will have categories for both adults and children.

Children are invited to bake anything apple-related, including cheesecakes, pies and cakes.

The adult competition is for apple pies.

The apple day will take place at the Big Worle Hub, in Clovelly Road, on Saturday from 11am-3pm.

Baking entries should be delivered by 11.45am, and there will be a barbecue between noon and 2pm.
