Banwell Football Club, in Riverside, hosted a fair on July 29, with hundreds of people turning out to try a range of different activities.

Birds of prey expert Avon Owls held an exhibition at the fun day, letting children get their hands on some of its creatures.

A giant tortoise was the star attraction at the event, with boys and girls queuing up to have their picture taken.

A dog show also proved popular and many people watched on as well-trained pups executed their routines to perfection.

Emergency service representatives from Avon and Somerset Constabulary and South West Ambulance Service were in attendance at the fair, offering youngsters the chance to take a look inside and sit behind the wheel of their vehicles.

The fun day also featured a range of stalls where people could get their hands on some hand-crafted gems created by arty villagers.
