BRIT award nominee Beth Rowley is appearing at Weston College to celebrate the success of students.

Singer Beth will help hand out awards at the student award ceremony at the Winter Gardens on Thursday.

Around 300 guests are expected to attend the presentation event.

Beth, aged 28, completed a foundation diploma in art and design and an integrated music and technology course at the college during 2002.

She said: "I've crammed a lot in since I left Weston College but I still remember those days like they were yesterday.

"I'm happy to be part of the celebration of success."

Beth was nominated for best female solo artist at the 2009 BRIT awards, where she was beat by Welsh pop singer Duffy.
