Teenagers arrested in Weston-super-Mare as boy is left with injuries to leg and abdomen

A 15-year-old boy is in hospital with injuries sustained during an altercation in Weston-super-Mare.

The boy was taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital with injuries to his leg and abdomen following the incident between a group of teenagers in Locking Road at around 6.15pm yesterday (Tuesday).

The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Three boys aged 14, 15 and 16 have been arrested and are being held in police custody.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has now launched an appeal for information.

A spokesman said: “Enquiries into the incident are continuing as we try to piece together what happened.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries.”
