Brean Play is joining forces with The Salvation Army for its annual Christmas Toy Appeal, to help children in the local area this Christmas.

People are invited to drop a new, unused toy for a child – from newborn to 16 years old – into the Brean Play collection point, in Coast Road, anytime before December 12.

The Salvation Army, in Walliscote Road, Weston, will then wrap the gifts, which will be distributed to children in need and families in the local area through The Salvation Army’s own networks, local groups and social services.

Mike Barsby, from Brean Play marketing, said: “By giving a gift to our Christmas Present Appeal, you can make a real difference to a local child who may otherwise not get presents this Christmas.”

Brean Play is open daily to accept gifts for the appeal from 9.30am-5.30pm. Visit www.breanplay.com for more information.
