A large section of a tree in Shrubbery Walk has broken off, hitting two parked cars and blocking the entire road at 7.45am.

Firefighters and Highways officers are attempting to make the area safe and clear the scene at Shrubbery Walk.

Shrubbery resident Rob Lewis said: “I was out walking the dog and it was just a huge crash and smashing glass sound. I could believe it when I came round the corner.

“It looks like it just for too heavy to support itself and simply broke off.”

It is believed no-one was injured.
