Power cut leaves 1,000 homes without electricity

More than 1,000 homes in Burnham-on-Sea are without power this morning (Monday) and the problem is not expected to be fixed until this afternoon.

Western Power Distribution says 1,098 homes in Burnham are without power.

They are all in the TA8 2, TA9 4 and TA8 5 postcode areas.

It is estimated power will be restored at 2.30pm.

UPDATE: Power was restored at 1.30pm.
