AN AWARD-WINNING Weston business hub which provides a range of support for new firms is preparing to celebrate its first anniversary with an open day.

The Hive, in Beaufighter Road, has welcomed 30 tenants since opening last July, and hosted more than 300 events, making it a leading venue within the North Somerset business community.

On July 8, it will hold an open day from 9.30am-1pm, including tours, introductions, networking opportunities and a talk on The Hive’s impact by North Somerset Council chief executive Mike Jackson.

It will also include a forum where well-known entrepreneurs will share own stories and business insights.

The Hive chief executive Angela Hicks said: “The Hive has enjoyed an amazing first year, exceeding all of its tenancy targets and quickly becoming established as a popular location in North Somerset.

“We plan to use the day to say thank you to those who have supported us in our first year and to encourage more people to come and have a look around and see what a great place this is to work and do business.”
