Hill Leigh Glazing has been taken over by the M5 Glass Centre.

THE assets and building which were once home to Hill Leigh Glazing in Highbridge have been bought by new company M5 Glass Centre, which has invested £100,000 into the business.

Hill Leigh Glazing, which was located on the Walrow Industrial Estate, went into liquidation last summer with the loss of several jobs.

M5 Glass Centre has now taken over and has been busy refurbishing the site and invested £100,000 into new machinery.

The company will be restarting the production of double glazed sealed units, toughened glass and a host of other glass, mirror and glazing products and services.

It will also be employing several of the experienced ex-Hill Leigh Glazing staff and aim to create further local employment opportunities.

Steven Michell, from M5 Glass Centre, said: “We are hoping to really get involved in the local community and have already had some interaction with local schools and groups and we are looking to do some local sports sponsorship.”

M5 Glass Centre will hold an official opening event on Friday at 3.30pm at the site in Highbridge.
