A new lettings agency has opened in Weston-super-Mare, offering ‘something completely different’ with deposit-free renting available to tenants

Move Revolution has opened in the town centre, hoping to bring Weston’s letting services ‘into the 21st century’ and provide more security for landlords and tenants.

The business is a two-pronged venture from former lettings agent and software expert Dan Reasons and finance worker Kayleigh Ballard, and becomes one of the first businesses to join the town’s new creative hub.

Mr Reasons told the Mercury ‘the lettings industry as a whole is facing huge changes across the next 12-18 months’, and he is ‘excited’ to get to work.

He said: “It has never been more important for landlords and tenants to realise how these changes will affect them.

“The industry has remained the same for far too long and we wanted to offer something completely different to the norm, using the world’s most modern technology and practices, we are aiming to bring the local lettings industry into the 21st century.

“I think both landlords and tenants will be impressed with what we have to offer alongside our low fees.

“There isn’t a catch. Our overheards are far lower than any other agency and the technology we use saves us countless time and money, meaning we can pass these savings on to you and the tenants.”

Move Revolution is one of the first businesses to take residence at the The Stable in Wadham Street.

The creative hub is a North Somerset Council-led venture to nurture start-up businesses with a communal working space offering high-speed internet and office facilities.

Manager of the creative hub Kerry O’Neill welcomed the firm with open arms.

She said: “We’re thrilled to have Move Revolution join us, this is exactly the type of forward-thinking business we’re keen to have here.”

The firm promises reduce risk for landlords by guaranteeing rent payments, while also giving people the chance to rent a property without forking out a deposit.

Landlords will also have access to insurance cover worth hundreds of thousands of pounds through Move Revolution.
