BLEADON Hill Golf Course is set to open to the public on Saturday.

Golfers will now be able to take in views from Clevedon to Glastonbury while enjoying a round at the challenging 35 handicap, nine-hole course.

Set up in association with Alex Murray Golf, the 2,600 yard course has been in planning for several years.

Peter Coleman, Howards Group managing director, is the brain behind the new business.

He said: “The course is in a fantastic location with great views.

“It’s a project that I have had on the go for a number of years, with a construction and design team of Terry Murray and Geoff Abrahams, who are both well-known for their good work locally, golfers are in for a treat.”

Resident professional, Scott Thompson, will be offering tuition to all levels of golfer at the Bleadon Hill Golf Course in Roman Road.

The course will be open seven days a week
