A COUPLE from Congresbury who opened a daytime cafe selling English food are now open in the evenings for Indian cuisine and takeaway.

Seema and Naz Hoque, who already run the Bombay Palace in Cleeve, opened Kismet in Broad Street in September, but have now decided to give residents a new evening dining option.

Kismet, which used to be Paddington’s cafe, offers full English cooked breakfast in the day as well as tea, coffee and lunch, but now the duo, who have one child, have opened their newly refurbished premises in the evenings.

Naz, aged 32, said: “We only use fresh produce and we use free range eggs and vegetable oil. We can even cook up dishes to specifically suit personal tastes and we have a big range for vegetarians too.

“We prepare everything to order, with lots of effort being put into quality and we really want everyone in the village to support us. It’s vital that everyone gets behind us and comes down to see what we are doing.

“If we don’t get the support of the village we won’t be able to keep the door open.”

Kismet is open from 5.30-11pm from Tuesday to Thursday and 5.30pm-11.30pm from Friday to Sunday.
