WRINGTON’S Post Office could soon benefit from a new location and longer opening hours, if plans to move the store are accepted.

The Post Office is proposing to relocate its Wrington branch, in Broad Street, to a site further along the street in Amors Stores.

It would then be revamped as a modern, open plan-style branch with extended opening hours, including earlier opening and slightly later closing times on Saturdays.

Post Office regional manager Will Russell said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Wrington and we are confident this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the community and secure services for the future.”

Residents are being invited to give their views on the proposed move as part of a six-week consultation period, which ends on September 8.

To comment, write to Your Comments at Post Office Ltd free of charge, or visit using branch code 345511 to complete on online questionnaire.
