Weston Super Startup is looking for the town’s best fledgling digital, creative or technology business, with a prize worth more than £1,000 up for grabs.

The competition is being held in conjunction with The Stable creative hub, in Wadham Street, which boasts great facilities and an inspiring co-working space to take your business to the next level.

And the entrepreneur who convinces a panel of judges they are worthy of winning the competition will receive a 12-month membership to The Stable.

The Stable has a packed schedule of events ahead of the competition deadline of May 31, including a visit from digital giant Google.

Manager Kerry O’Neill said: “Our free digital training courtesy of Google’s Digital Garage can help entrepreneurs and small businesses learn how to improve and increase their digital footprint.

“Already got a great idea? Make it better. Already using various online platforms? Learn how to use analytics to better monitor and understand your audiences.”

Ms O’Neill called on people considering entering to visit the array of events at The Stable, which could offer crucial tips in creating a solid business plan.

She said: “If you’re not sure if entering or basing your business at The Stable is for you, drop in on a Wednesday afternoon to talk in more depth to staff about what we’re looking for in this competition and about what The Stable can offer your business.

“All events are perfect for anyone who’s interested in learning more about what we do at The Stable.

“Come to explore The Stable, to meet us, to ask your questions, to hone your competition pitch, and to meet our members.”

Mercury editor Tom Wright added: “The Stable has an excellent selection of events in the coming weeks which undoubtedly will be beneficial to anyone planning to enter.

“The tips and tricks you will learn could be the difference in convincing the judges your business is worthy of winning Weston Super Startup.”
